Area with a mix of lakes and heath-covered dunes, ponds and marshes, swamp forest and meadows. Fuligule morillon and Canard souchet breed here. Natura 2000 reserve.
The large reed fields are an ideal residence for reed and marsh birds. Many birds breed here. For the migratory birds, the reserve is an important stopping place to regain strength on their journey south or north.
